FILM and DIGITAL camera users, I welcome the opportunity to work with you with this six week online course.

Level: Beginners to advanced.

These online photography classes will introduce you to the basics of photography using a SLR film or digital camera, and compact digital cameras. . You are going to learn how to go past the automatic mode settings of your camera and learn how to manually control your aperture and shutter speeds. Depth of field, macro photography, filters, fill-in-flash, and composition will be covered. Starting January 2010 a course in panorama and HDR will be the focus of Photography Basic III

Prerequisites forbasic photography classes

--A positive attitude.
--A SLR type of film or digital camera. If you are using a compact type of digital (non SLR type), one that allows you to over ride the automatic settings is recommended.
--For advanced classes please study the prerequisites on the applicable listing before you enroll.

Technical

You will have to upload your weekly for to a web site. I do not teach you how to do this. If you do not have a host you can utilize the student upload area provided by LVS. There is a free HTML tutorial available here.

Questions re fees for classes: I do not charge fees. LVS-leader in virtual studies, with whom you will be taking the course, sets the fees and they are only $30.00 US funds. The fee pays for the BBS board and ongoing administration. LVS is comprised of a wide mix of professionals, many retired, who believe in giving back to the community. Just because the fees are minimal, does not mean you will not be given care and attention taking classes. If you have any doubts about this statement, please check out my references.
